Galaxy A57 5G: the one to get if you can
The A57 has the best camera in the A range, with optical stabilisation and a proper 12MP ultrawide. It charges at 45W and is rated IP68. If your phone is your camera, office and TV, this is the one. See how it compares with last year’s A56.
Galaxy A37 5G: the sweet spot
The A37 keeps the 120Hz AMOLED screen, OIS main camera, 45W charging and IP68 rating, and costs less than the A57. For most buyers, this is the best value.
Galaxy A27 5G: 5G on a budget
The A27 gives you 5G, a 120Hz AMOLED screen and Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 performance at a lower price. It charges at 25W and is splash resistant (IP64) rather than fully waterproof.
4G or 5G: which do you need?
If you live or work in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu or another big town, a 5G phone (A27, A37, A57, A26, A36, A56) is worth it. You also get a 120Hz screen and a faster chip. If you mainly use WhatsApp, calls, M-Pesa and social media, a 4G model like the A17 4G, A18 4G, A16, A08 or A07 saves you money. All of them get 6 Android upgrades.
